The Global Holiday Camp was developed by volunteers and will take part for the third time this year. The topic of this year’s camp is “Mulitplayer- conneting the world”. The camp aims to sensitize the participants for european and global topics, as sustainibility or diversity, by creating space for experiences. We will also try to include aspects of Salesian pedagogy, human right animation and the concept of the oratory. To do so, we plan a lot of actions, sports and creativity.
There will be two camps of five days, one located in Benediktbeuern and the other one located in Regensburg.
You will support the teams of animators in both camps. In each camp there will participate around 30 kids from 10 to 14 years. The program will take place from 9 am to 7 pm and will include a sleepover on the last night.
We are a mixed group of former Don Bosco volunteers with national and international youth work experience. We are coming from all over Germany and are looking forward to spend an awesome time with the team and the kids.
What we expect:
You should be motivated and openminded to be a part of our team. Your tasks during the preparation and the camp include organizing, supporting the program, contributing your ideas and animating the children and youth.
To participate you need fluent English skills. The program will mostly be held in German, but we will facilitate the language barrier. The preparation and evaluation will take place in English.
In addition, it would be desirable if you had experience in youth work and animation in the Don Bosco context.
