Animation at Day Camp - 2024

Are you an animator who would like to experience summer camps in another country? Are you familiar with the spirit and pedagogy of Don Bosco or want to learn even more? Are you eager to make some new friends and create memories that you won't forget?

​If you answered yes to all these questions, you are at the right place!

Domka – Association of Salesian Youth in Slovakia is offering a great opportunity for international volunteers to participate in one of our camps. The main idea is to bring animators from other countries to our camps in order to enrich not only our local communities but also to show international volunteers how we work and give them the chance to learn something new.
The opportunity involves participation in a day camp, meaning the kids come in the morning and leave in the afternoon. The free time after each day can be used for evaluation, preparation of the next day, teambuilding activities or just some rest.
The main responsibilities of the international volunteers are: support in the run of the day, preparation of materials, organization of games and of course time spent with the children.

• 8. – 14.7., target group: 8 – 14 y. o. 
• 1. – 5. 7., target group: 6 – 12 y. o.
• 22.–26. 7., target group: 6 – 12 y. o.
• 15. – 19. 7., target group: 9 – 15 y. o. 
• 8. – 21. 7., target group: 9 – 15 y. o.

*all camps require coming 1-2 days before and leaving 1-2 days after the camp
Requirements:

• age 18+
• experience within youth work
• fluent in English

Costs: the volunteers have to pay their travel (accommodation and food is provided)
