Salesiani per il Sociale was founded in 1993. Objectives: preventing discomfort and marginalization (the main targets are minors and young people); promoting socio-educational services; coordinating voluntary activities. Its structure is: 90 federated bodies; 783 employees; 2.032 volunteers; 30 foster homes; 22 daily care centres; 150 youth centres/oratories; 6 care centres for drug addicted people; 540 structures developing Civil Services projects. Activities promoted: training courses and training activities for its educators and volunteers; designing and implementation of socio-educational activities for minors and young people in social disadvantage conditions. Public certifications received: recognition as National association for the promotion of social activities; recognition as an association promoting activities in favour of the immigrants. Source of funding : we receive grants from Italian public bodies, the European Union and private donors.
