Sale für Alle - Das offene Kinder- und Jugendzentrum is a youth initiative working with disadvantaged young people, who are at risk of poverty and social exclusion, in Vienna. We oparate in an Oratory (=Youth Center) in the 3rd district of Vienna.

In summer we will organize a „summer oratory“ which offers a special leisure activity program for the kids at our youth center. The oratory will be open every day of the week. Activities for this week will be planned by all volunteer during the previous week. In the morning we will do group-exercises, preparations for the afternoon, workshops on the pedagogics of Don Bosco and so on to enhance our competences. But there will also be time to get to know Vienna ;).  For this week we will live, cook and spend our time together. That means that everyone will be hosted in the student home of the Salesians which is in the same building as the Oratory.

During this “summer oratory” we are a group of 10 volunteers and we ask you to support us in our activities. We love to get to know other volunteers from Salesian Projects in Europe. This might be a good opportunity to get to know other people who are working with youth in the spirit of Don Bosco and to share our experiences.

If you are interested in coming please you should be able to speak (not necessarily fluently) German because the children speak German and our meetings will be held in German as well. You should have experience in youth work. We will host you at the student home for free, but ask you to organize and pay for the journey to Vienna and back. If previous years are any indication it will be an amazing experience and a wonderful two weeks.

Our “summer oratory” always takes place in September at Hagenmüllergasse 31 1030 Wien.
