Volunteers will be involved in all projects in the programs of our centre, and we will want them to carry out a project that will enrich the operation of our centre, while giving them the opportunity to develop their competencies. We are looking for volunteers for the period between September 1, 2022 and August 31, 2023. All those interested, please send a CV including your previous experience(s) and a motivation letter stating the reasons for working in the young centre, information on their expectations at work and information on the latest contribution to work in the young centre. The deadline for applications (with CV and motivational letter) is the 15th July 2021: volunteers.donbosco.at/de/home/bewerbungsformular.html The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.
Who can take part? Anyone between 18 and 30 years old residing in any of the European Solidarity Corps participating country (all European Union countries, Iceland, Turkey and North Macedonia). What is a Solidarity Project? It is an activity that a young person can carry out in a group of five people or more to help to bring positive change to a local community. It is set up and implemented by young people themselves in a place where they live. The project should be devoted to challenges within a community, but it can also help to tackle regional or even national issues. Together with addressing the local challenges, a Solidarity Project should also demonstrate European value by taking priorities identified at European level such as, for instance, inclusion, climate change, democratic engagement, citizenship or gender equality. The project can last from 2 to 12 months and it is mainly part-time. You can find possible projects on the bottom of this page: https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity/solidarity_projects_en If you wonder which activity would suit you best, you can take the quiz in this link: https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity/quiz_en The ESC is not a part of DBYN. The long-term opportunities within DBYN or our member organisations will be posted and explained on this page.
