Celebrating 50 Years of Volunteering is a summer exchange of animators in the form of a Group EVS. The Group EVS Program 2016 is organised in Rijswijk, The Netherlands.This program aims to help young people to travel to a new culture, new people, speak a new language and cross own mind set up to help out other people namely children. This in turn help the volunteers to their personal growth and job opportunities. The program promotes intercultural learning experience, encouraging social integration and widening the perspective of the young people to employability. Through a creative program the young and older volunteers step into solidarity and stimulate their creative and innovative thinking through sports and recreative outdoor activities for children (4-16 years).
Advanced Planning Visit: 24-27 May 2016. The leaders from the organisation and one of the volunteers from the summer exchange will come to the Netherlands for the preparation of the summer exchange.
Dates: 21 July to 21 August 2016
Number of international volunteers: 28 volunteers (22 for Don Bosco Rijswijk, 4 for Don Bosco Amsterdam and 2 forDeebeetje Kamps)
The countries that are taking part: Austria, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
Costs: Travel, accommodation and pocket money will be provided by the Erasmus + Group EVS project.
Out of the 28 volunteers 12 volunteers will be young people with fewer opportunities. from 14 countries will take active part in the summer holiday activities.
