EVS Looking to Future, Springbos 2016

“EVS Looking to Future (Springbos 2016)” is an exchange of animators in the spring. It aims to help young people with less opportunity to have a short experience of working abroad.

The program takes place in the Netherlands, from 06 April to 06 May 2016. A group of 8 volunteers from 8 countries will take active part in the regular and holiday activities (Meiebos) in Don Bosco Amsterdam and in the multicultural youth centre Rijswijk. Activities in Amsterdam and Rijswijk will ensure that the learning takes place not only on an individual basis but also in a group. The method of indoor and outdoor sport and recreative activities for the children give the volunteers a good opportunity, to Cross the Borders of their countries, age, Culture, language and at the same time get to know the youth work on a European scale and will promote many more individual EVS possibilities for our organization and partner organizations.

Don Bosco Youthnet Nederland
DIVERSITY leads to TOLERANCE?: Sharing and exchanging ideas and experiences on differences and similarities in the context of current issue of Refugees. It is Youth Exchange organised in the Netherlands together with young people from Armenia, Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands.
There is uneasiness in our society because of the arrival of the thousands of refugees. With the negative media and the influence of extreme right politics it easily can turn into a tone of intolerance, fear and fuel for xenophobia against refugees and migrants. A group of young people in Rijswijk were concerned about these tendency creating fear and prejudice which in turn building another wall and the mind walls are growing higher day by day.
This Youth Exchange focuses to develop the critical thinking and tolerance in the mind of the teenagers/youth during the exchange and there after.
