Phoenix Summer Camps

Looking for something awesome to do this summer? Want to help young people from across the UK experience a week they'll never forget? Phoenix Summer Camps are holiday opportunities for young people who might not get a break or could do with time away from home for a variety of reasons. Based at Savio House, Bollington, each week offers thirty 11-12 year olds an opportunity to experience a place of learning, belonging, playing and meaning. Our camp is going through an exciting period of change this year, with young Michael Magone being our newest inspiration! Join us for campfires, archery, canoeing, theme parks and most importantly, creating a Salesian atmosphere for some amazing young people.

As the language spoken on the camps is English (or it's regional variation!) volunteering spots get taken up quite quickly. If you are keen to be part of the camps (volunteers are needed July 20th to August 4th 2019) please get in touch with the organisers as soon as possible. We have had volunteers from Slovakia, Spain, Belgium and the Republic of Ireland in the recent past and are always keen to welcome new people.
Volunteers must be aged 18+ with experience of working with young people and have a good understanding of English. Unfortunately we are unable to offer help towards your travel expenses but there is no accommodation/hosting fee.
