Have a passion for helping young people to become stronger leaders? Enjoy walking alongside young people as they learn and grow? Want to help young people from across the UK to develop a range of skills that they can take back to their own community? Rise summer camp has all this and more!
Rise is a week long camp for young people aged 14-16 who show natural leadership skills that they want to develop in a dynamic, engaging and fun way with others. Based at Savio House, Bollington, young people get to come together as part of a small community where everyone looks out for each other whether that may be by helping keep things clean at camp or by encouraging others to challenge themselves when doing different activities. The week offers 15 young people the opportunity to develop communication and youth work skills; to learn and grow as part of a Salesian community; to apply skills in a fun and practical way as well as to offer reflective time for self-development. Camp will be from the 21st-26 July 2019. Join us for a fun week filled with practical sessions, fun days out, campfires, walks, prayer, community and so much more!
Volunteers must be 18+ with experience of working with young people. The language spoken on camp is English so a good understanding of English is required. Volunteers will be present at Savio House from 20th-27th July for the camp and some formation. Unfortunately we are unable to offer help towards your travel expenses but there is no fee for accommodation or camp activities.
